On the last two days of term, 22 lucky student volunteers ranging from year 9 to year 13 got to attend the YMCA Leadership camp at Camp Kaitoke. This completely free camp sponsored by the YMCA was an amazing opportunity for our potential leaders to learn the skills, knowledge and attitude required to be leaders in our school and community. The facilitators and instructors staged activities based on our school values and our students strove to incorporate these values into servant leadership in a way that was all through Christ. In turn the students will use what they have learnt back at school to create and implement a project that will highlight a need in our community. There was never a dull moment and the fun never stopped with some excellent leadership characteristics coming to the forefront from our students.
