Year 7/8 and 9 Digital Technologies
The Year 7/8 and 9 Digital Technologies class took the opportunity to visit two exhibitions being hosted by Aratoi, Wairarapa Museum of Art and History.
The first exhibit surveys Richard Reddaway’s work from the 1980s to his current practice, exploring enduring themes and tracking them in relation to the socio-political contexts in which they were made.
The second exhibit had a much more local theme: Our Town – The Changing Face of Masterton. Students had the chance to reminisce at Masteton's past, both from the perspective of the buildings we used to have and also from the many Masterton residents who went on to international fame.
The event would not have been possible without the help of Rosa Ah-Siu, who volunteered to chaperone the students to Aratoi, Wairarapa Museum of Art and History. While at the venue the students were led through by Museum Educator Becky Bateman.
