My name is Debra Marshall-Lobb and on behalf of the Board of Trustees and Staff of Chanel College, it is my privilege to welcome you back for the start of the 2018 school year. I have been appointed Acting Principal for Term 1 and 2, while the Board of Trustees follows a process to appoint a permanent Principal. Prior to this year, I was Principal at Hato Pāora (St Paul’s) Catholic Māori Boys’ Boarding School. Over the thirty six years that I have been working in Education, teaching across all levels and sectors, I have gained valuable insights and considerable experience. I am totally committed to creating a learning environment in which student formation is a central focus and learning outcomes are equitable. I look forward to working with the Board of Trustees, staff, and the school community. Collectively, we look forward to seeing all our students back at Chanel College and welcoming new students and their families. We hope all students have a successful and enjoyable year.
