2017 Top Achieving Students

The Dux is the top academic award of the school and goes to the student in Year 13 who has gained the highest overall academic grades, worked out from all their internal results and practice tests and exams. The Proxime Accessit is runner up; the person with the 2nd highest academic results. These are exceptionally prestigious awards and signify the best of academic excellence in our school.

 

The Mate Nola Scholarship is awarded to a Year 13 student who has strived to achieve at a high level academically and is given in support of university study. This scholarship is awarded to the Chanel College Dux. Our top academic student and the winner of the Marcellin Champagnat Cup for Dux, for 2017 is  Ian Alindada


As our Dux, Ian is also being presented with a University of Canterbury valued at up to $6000 for first year tuition fees to study for a Bachelor of Engineering


The winner of the Daniel Delany Cup for Proxime Accessit will receive the Monsignor Moore Scholarship, a scholarship that is funded by the Monsignor Moore Education Trust. Laura Saywell
