At Chanel College we develop students with a holistic education and the skills they will need in the 21st century to take their learning outside of the classroom and into the world.
Over the thirty-eight years that I have been teaching and leading in Education across all levels and sectors in New Zealand, I have gained considerable experience. I am totally committed to creating a learning environment in which student formation is a central focus and learning outcomes are equitable.
At Chanel we equip students with the top five skills needed in the future so that they can thrive in the world of work and help to build a better future. Through these five skills we challenge, encourage and support students to think critically, creatively, collaboratively and globally:
Analytical thinking and innovation
Active student centred learning strategies
Creativity, originality and initiative
Technology, design and programming
Critical thinking and analysis.
Chanel College is proud to be part of a tradition of Catholic secondary education in the Wairarapa that stretches back over 120 years. Our Chanel College values of Catholic community, Honesty, Acceptance, Never Giving Up, Excellence and Love are anchored in the charisms of our founding Religious Orders, the Brigidine Sisters and the Marist Brothers.
We look forward to working with you and your families in the years ahead.
Debi Marshall-Lobb,
